Our pillow boxes are made using various types of paperboard. There are two commonly used choices that you can pick from:

• 12pt Paperboard
• 18pt Paperboard

Paperboard is thinner than cardboard, which makes it weigh less. Custom boxes made with paperboard are great for sending and shipping smaller items/products.

When viewing the box straight on, the measurements can be understood to be:

1. The length (L) is measured from left to right or vice versa
2. The width (W) is the shorter side, measured from front to back
3. The depth (D) is the measurement from the top to the bottom of the box

What are the sizes available for the pillow boxes?

If you opt for the 18pt paperboard, there is only one size that you can buy. It is 7.25” x 3.625” x 1.5”.

On the other hand, if you opt for the 12pt paperboard, there are four various sizes that you can pick from. The smallest size is 3.5” x 2.5” x 1” and the largest is 6” x 4.5” x 1.5”.

As we mentioned above, there are two most commonly used types of paperboard used in pillow boxes. Here is a brief description and explanation of them both:

• 18pt SBS Paperboard: 18pt paperboard is 0.18 inches thick, and it is made of SBS (solid bleached sulfate). The thickness and material make it excellent for printing.
• 12pt White-coated Paperboard: The 12pt paperboard is thinner than the 18pt one, but it is white-coated. The extra white coat on top of the paperboard makes it more aesthetic, and also better for printing.
